WHO ARE YOU, POLLY MAGGOO?
Øst for Paradis – 05.05.16 – 7pm
William Klein /1966 / Frankrig / 105 min
William Klein is best known as a fashion photographer, but he has also made
the satirical semi-documentary film Who Are You, Polly Maggoo, which is a
must-see for fashion lovers! We follow supermodel Polly Maggoo played by
Dorothy McGowan, who has graced the cover of several fashion magazines in
the 1960s and is one of Klein’s favourites. Particularly inspiring is one of the
fashion shows in the film where every dress is made out of large metal plates,
designed by William Klein himself and his wife. This fashion show scene simply
stands out as one of the most extravagant fashion moments in film history.
The film will be introduced by actress and behind the scenes at CPH Fashion
Week presenterAMELIA HØY

MOVING THE FASHION IMAGE x NORDIC TALENTS
Fashion Films are here to stay! Through various events MOVING THE FASHION IMAGE gives everyone the chance to see what this new short film genre has to offer. For the first time ever all fashion designers and film artists out there had the change to submit their fashion film to this year’s Copenhagen
Fashion Film programme and special fashion film competition. The result is a strong selection of films from all over the world, and a specially curated Nordic programme consisting of films made by young design and film talents coming from the Nordic countries.
